 When researching and trying to determine gear drive vs belt drive pressure washers, I can honestly say between using both we prefer gear drive. Belts lose a percentage of power due to friction, which would not allow a belt driven pressure washer to obtain the same PSI and GPM that a gear drive can obtain. Using the same amount of fuel, less power is wasted with a gear drive vs belt drive pressure washer.
